The Nacho Club?

In the past, both Facebook and LinkedIn have announced major privacy and security breaches of it's users information. As if that weren't concerning enough, our Nacho Kids Facebook Group is increasingly being penalized or warned by Facebook because it's algorithm flagged content from our members (even silly stuff). Another fun fact... there are tons of people that don't use Facebook or even social media, that would benefit from an independent, private site.

Between the increasing problems with privacy concerns and the dangers of "building a house on someone else's land", we have decided to make the investment in providing a truly private and safe place for stepparents that we can control 100%.

Introducing The Nacho Club!

The Nacho Club will be a 100% anonymous place where stepmoms and stepdads can engage with others like them for help, support, and to build relationships. There are so many benefits to making this move, but we know it won't be easy. People are really sensitive to having to use yet another platform. However, we feel the benefits far outweigh the challenges.

Here are just a few reasons The Nacho Club will be better than the old fashioned Facebook Group:

The Nacho Club

  • 100% privacy
  • Complete anonymity
  • No fear of negative consequences
  • Your data is not collected, tracked, or sold
  • Distraction-free user experience
  • Purpose driven community
  • Weed out the bad apples
  • Easy to see what you've missed
  • Can have clubs for specific interest or locations
  • No personal information collected & sold
  • Exclusive offers and promos
  • User reputation scores to ensure quality replies
  • User ratings to reward interaction
  • Advanced content controls to protect users
  • ... and much more!

Facebook Group

  • Serious privacy and security concerns
  • No anonymity
  • Can be shutdown for any reason
  • Your data is being tracked and sold
  • You are bombarded with ads or other distractions
  • Full of trolls and troublemakers
  • Facebook controls what you see
  • Easy to miss posts
  • People can "go real life"
  • You have to follow FB rules, which change often
  • Crappy search functionality
  • Building on "rented property"
  • Difficult to keep track of topics
  • Can attract the wrong people
  • You must have a personal profile

Sounds great! How much does it cost?

How does FREE sound? We used to charge a small annual fee for this platform, but we decided to make it free so that anyone can enjoy a safe place for stepfamily help.

FAQ

How does this compare to the Nacho Kids Academy?

The Nacho Kids Academy is designed specifically to fully teach and coach members. The community forums inside the Academy are used as an extension of coaching.

The Nacho Club is designed specifically to be a safe, private alternative to the Facebook Groups and social media in general. It was created to give blended families, in general, a place to connect and support one another without the major privacy concerns that come from social media platforms.

What will happen with the Nacho Kids Facebook Group?

The Nacho Kids Facebook Group will remain open. However, we never know what Facebook may do and as long as we are using Facebook Groups, Facebook has complete control over it. We have seen Facebook shutdown other groups or take negative actions against groups. It is Facebook's sandbox and they can choose who plays in it.

As the Nacho Club grows in membership, we expect people may shift in favor of the Nacho Club over the FB Group. There are also a lot of people that aren't on Facebook, or even social media in general, that can enjoy the safe, private community that the Nacho Club provides to blended families.

Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Yes. You may cancel your subscription/membership at any time. You can email us at contactus@nachokids.com and request that your subscription be canceled. You can also request that your account and all your data be deleted.

Is the advice more reliable than in the Facebook Group?

People are people so it is hard to say. We expect that the small barriers to entry will ward off many people who have made the Facebook Groups... shall we say... challenging. Which means that the Nacho Club may have less in membership quantity but more in membership quality.

Is there an app for The Nacho Club?

There is not a native app for the Nacho Club. However, adding an icon to your device with a direct link to the Nacho Club is very easy to do and it will function just like an app, even giving you an icon. Also, the Nacho Club platform is very mobile friendly. We think you'll like it!
